Welcome to Fishfiles!

Hello Students!   The information on our site is made available to help you do more than just survive Spanish! We hope you will actually learn the language and enjoy yourself in the process. If you find that you need help with a topic we haven’t addressed yet, please let us know and we’ll try to get what you need posted asap.We are posting information based on the needs we find in our tutoring sessions. Please click on the Posts tab in the top menu to see our newest additions.

How to Use This Site

  • Page tabs are located across the top of this page. Each tab takes you to a page dedicated to the tab topic.
  • Check out the Posts tab. Posts are just our blogs. We blog about the things students ask about. If you submit a question, you will likely see our response in a blog on the Post page.
  • If you do not find the topic you need in the Page tabs, look on the right side-bar at the Tags. These are topics that are linked to our blogs. Click on a tag and it will bring up every blog associated with that topic.
  • We’ve added a page tab called Chanotees. This page has charts, handouts, and notes pertinent to your chapter studies. We will add to the page as needed. When space runs short, we will delete older materials. Therefore, if you see something you like, it would be wise to copy it or print it because once we change the page, the item will be gone!
  • On the left side-bar, we have a category called Spanish Textbooks. These links will take you to the textbook website. There you will find chapter quizzes, games, etc.

For Portafolio, once on the site, select a chapter at the top of the page. Then click on Additional Practice in the left side-bar. This will take you to the practice quizzes, flash cards, and a review game.

For  Spanish for Health Care, once on the site, click on the “Jump to…” button at the top of the page to select the chapter. Click on Módulo to find the practice quizzes. Also check out the Audio Resources.

  • The Translators on the left side-bar can help you translate a word, but be warned—translators cannot write your compositions for you. Since Spanish to English and English to Spanish are not word-for-word translations, most translators do a really really really poor job of writing!
  • The World News in Spanish links on the left side-bar will be helpful when you begin working on your country project.
  • Spanish Sites Worth Viewing on the left side-bar are just that–sites worth viewing! If you are having trouble with a topic, you can go to either of these sites and read lessons that may shed more light on the subject. Also, the verb conjugator site is really helpful! You can type in any verb and it will give you the full conjugation of the verb.

How to Contact Us

If you have a question you would like for us to address, you can click on the Tag in the right side-bar that says “question?” or you can click on one of the Posts that is open for comments. Once you type in your question, check back in a day or two to see our response. Please be aware that all questions and comments go through our site administrator before being posted, so don’t worry that your question got lost! We may not post your question, but we will do our best to post an answer.
